The team

Andrew Honnor
Managing Partner

Andrew, Greenbrook’s Managing Partner, founded the firm and brings over 20 years of financial, corporate and political communications experience to Greenbrook. He started his career working on political campaigns in both the UK and United States and was formerly a UK Government Special Advisor.

Over the last two decades he has worked on numerous communications campaigns and advised firms including British Airways, Goldman Sachs, RBS and News Corporation. Andrew has developed leading expertise in advising global investment businesses on all areas of communications and risk management.

He is an expert on issues such as exit and investment activity, fundraising, partnership issues, advice to portfolio companies, tax investigations, judicial inquiries, and civil/criminal proceedings. Prior to founding the business in February 2012, Andrew was a member of the Executive Committee at News UK (News International), advising the company following the phone hacking crisis.

Charlotte Balbirnie
Partner

Charlotte has over 13 years’ experience in financial and corporate communications. She specialises in managing reputations for the investment industry, private companies and special situations.

Charlotte has advised a broad range of companies in the UK and internationally on issues including transactions, regulatory investigations, management succession, litigation, corporate governance and digital communications. Her sector experience is diverse, with a focus on private equity, hedge funds, asset management, investment banking and corporate finance.

Previously, Charlotte worked at M:Communications and Bell Pottinger Corporate & Financial, where she gained extensive experience in the financial services, mining, retail, property, gaming, energy and defence sectors representing companies including BAE Systems, Ocado, ENRC, Tullett Prebon and Richemont.

David Trenchard
Advisor

David joined Greenbrook as an Advisor in 2014. He is currently Vice Chairman of Knight Vinke, one of Europe’s best known and influential activist investment firms. He also holds a number of non-executive and advisory roles including being a Member of Council at the Institute of Directors and a Public Member at Network Rail as well as being an investor in, and Non-Executive Director of, an unquoted technology company.

Prior to his current roles, David has had a 25-year career in investment banking and financial communications. He spent 16 years at Morgan Stanley in senior posts in equity sales and investment banking in Europe and Asia and was latterly a London-based Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets and Head of Corporate Broking. 

David also spent six years at one of London’s leading capital markets communications advisory firms where he advised many of the firm’s most significant relationships on complex capital markets communications. He graduated from Cambridge University, with a degree in Economics.

Georgiana Brunner
Consultant

Georgiana brings over a decade of experience in corporate, consumer and financial communications. She previously held a senior position within the communications team at leading private equity firm Apax Partners, where she was responsible for internal and external communications globally.

Prior to this, Georgiana was a Director at PR agency Citigate Dewe Rogerson, advising a broad range of clients from start-ups to multinationals. Her sector experience is wide, having worked with blue-chip clients in the private equity, fund management, corporate finance, financial services and professional services industries.

She also has significant crisis communications and issues management experience, handling situations for both b2b and consumer-focused clients over the years. Georgiana is a fluent French speaker having studied and worked in France.

Matthew Goodman
Consultant

Matthew joined Greenbrook after a career as a leading business journalist, where he reported on some of the most significant business issues over the past two decades. Most recently he was a senior correspondent at The Sunday Times, where he spent 13 years reporting on industries including private equity, leisure, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals.

Prior to this, he was part of the launch team of Sunday Business, spending four-years on the dedicated business newspaper, having previously worked in magazines dedicated to the legal profession. He holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Leeds.

 

Matthieu Roussellier
Consultant

Matthieu joined Greenbrook from the leading private equity firm Permira, where he was a member of the External Affairs Team with responsibility for communications across Europe, Asia and North America.

He has strong experience of all aspects of financial and corporate communications including transactions, fundraising, issues management, marketing, digital media and internal communications. Prior to joining Permira, Matthieu worked for a financial communications firm in London.

He started his career in political communications and holds an MPhil in Politics from Oxford University. Matthieu is a native French speaker.

Alex Jones
Consultant

Alex was a Senior Analyst at Preqin, the world’s leading alternative assets research house. Most recently he was an Account Director in the Financial and Professional Services practice at Capital MSL where he advised a wide range of international clients, including traditional and alternative asset managers, family offices, law firms and banks. 

Alex has considerable experience in corporate and financial communications, regulatory issues, crisis management and digital media. He holds an MA in Medieval History from the University of York.

 

Robert White
Consultant

Robert works across a number of Greenbrook’s private equity and hedge fund clients; he also oversees our research division. Robert joined Greenbrook after graduating from Jesus College, Oxford with an MSc in Evidence-based Social Policy.

He was Head of Media and communications at the Oxford Union. Robert also holds a First Class BSc in Business Administration from the University of Bath.

 

Samantha Harris
Business Manager

Samantha joined Greenbrook’s founding team in January 2012. In her role as Business Manager, Samantha oversees the daily corporate operations and supports client accounts as well as Greenbrook’s Managing Partner, Andrew Honnor. 

Samantha previously spent four years at MF Global, a US-based brokerage firm, as an Associate in the Corporate Communications team covering Europe and Asia.

 

In this role, she was responsible for corporate events, internal communications and market commentary. Samantha was also an Assistant to Jon Corzine, former President and CEO of MF Global.

Hugo Rynsard-Perry
Associate

Hugo joined Greenbrook after graduating from University College London with an Honours Degree in History. Prior to graduating, he completed placements at a number of international law firms, working within the Private Equity, Finance and M&A departments.

Hugo is part of Greenbrook’s associate team, mainly working with private equity clients, focusing on transactions, fundraisings, portfolio company issues and litigious situations.

 

Veronika Fafienski
Associate

Veronika joined Greenbrook from asset manager Baillie Gifford & Co., where she was an investment analyst responsible for presenting investment recommendations to fund managers based on in-depth financial and qualitative analysis of companies across different markets and industries.

Veronika has an MPhil in Modern Society and Global Transformations from the University of Cambridge, where she focused her research on corporate governance systems, and a First-class honours BA in Media, Culture and Society from the University of Birmingham.

Veronika is part of Greenbrook’s associate team, working across a number of private equity, hedge fund and fund management clients. She is a native German speaker with fluency in Polish and working knowledge of French.

Carl Leijonhufvud
Associate

Carl joined Greenbrook after graduating from Warwick Business School with an Honours Degree in Management, which included studies at Fudan School of Management in Shanghai.

Prior to graduating, Carl completed placements in a wide range of sectors, including the equity capital markets department at Morgan Stanley, marketing-finance at British American Tobacco, global retail intelligence at IKEA and corporate communication at JKL Group.

Carl is part of Greenbrook’s associate team, working across a number of private equity and private company clients. He is a native Swedish speaker with fluency in Norwegian.

Natalie Healy
Associate

Natalie joined Greenbrook after graduating from the University of Cambridge with an Honours Degree in Law. She also holds a Diplôme universitaire d’études juridiques française from the Université de Poitiers in France. 

Prior to graduating, Natalie completed placements at international law firms, working within the Finance and Insurance departments. Natalie has also completed several programmes at investment banks and worked for a share registry in Australia.

She gained experience of corporate communications through her former role as a Legal Conference Producer.

Natalie is part of Greenbrook’s associate team, working across a number of private equity and hedge fund clients.

Nikolina Mitrović
Executive Assistant

Nikolina is an Executive Assistant, supporting the team and client accounts. Previously, she worked at Oxford University Endowment Management where she was responsible for providing administrative and communications support to the COO and Investment Team.

Nikolina also worked for the University of Oxford’s Development Office supporting the Deputy Director in fundraising and portfolio management internationally. She gained experience in business development and marketing from her time at the economics consultancy firm, Oxera.

Nikolina has a BA in European Media Studies and an MA in European Law & Policy from the University of Portsmouth. She is a native Serbo-Croat speaker with fluency in Greek.
